Beautiful and inspiring tributes to those celebrating their wedding anniversaries!! I loved the Olympics too this year and I'm about to watch some of the back stories about the run up on I-player. Praying with you for your prayer requests, I hope the appointment today went well. Love, Becky xx
Praying for all your requests- to find the right therapist, for labs allowing your treatment to continue and for you to continue growing stronger. Love the picture of Uncle Clyde, Aunt Lillian, Sarah and you! Wishing many more happy years for your Mom and Dad and I look forward to seeing you all together again one of these days on a visit! Love and hugs from Boone, NC!
Dear Heather, I'm catching up on your posts and praying for you this weekend! Grateful that glory IS in your future and mine, although maybe not Gold medals. "When we all get to Heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be..." Love from Durham!
For me, your capacity to have such an expansive mind & heart for worldwide happenings as well as celebrating others’ joy….leaves me mouth agape.
I wonder if you’re aware what a huge % of us folks would not have bandwidth beyond a treatment calendar
Long ago my brother jerked 1 or his daughters off a pentathlon prep team because she’d broken som house rules. When the coach complained, my brother’s response was:
Tears with this post for sure. Happy anniversary to those amazing couples!! Such wonderful tributes. Also, dancing horses...I don't have words. However, I never knew speed walking was an Olympic sport. Now this one...!!! Hahah. I don't even get it. Judges pull you over. You take a break in the penalty box, which has ice water by the way. Have to admit we roared.
Loved skateboarding and bmx biking. Alie had I had a blast at the Y making up moves and calling them things like, "The Double Truck Driver 360." And of course awarding ratings.
Race walking is THE WORST SPORT in the Olympics. I will die on that hill. The penalty box is a hoot. I had complicated feelings about skateboarding (I think the minimum age for international competition should be 16) but I did find a new appreciation for BMX biking. I loved that the British women won gold -- especially because they had not been funded because they weren't expected to perform as well as the men. HA!! And ... were you and Alie skateboarding at the Y!?!?!? I need video!!

LIFE is the Olympics.
And in my mind: you are on the LIFE podium💝 🥇
I watched not a single moment of the Olympics, so thank you for this amazing recap. Praying for all these things you’ve mentioned. Love you, friend.
